The Google Messages app is finally getting ready to bring a feature that has been awaited for years to users. The app, which has started to resemble WhatsApp and other messaging apps more and more with the advent of RCS technology, now plans to offer a feature that users have frequently requested.

Android Authority discovered a new feature that shows that Google Messages is starting to resemble WhatsApp more and more. The platform, which is preparing to offer a privacy-focused innovation, will allow users to hide some of their information from the people they message. Here are the details…

A privacy-focused innovation from Google Messages!

The new Google Messages feature that has emerged will allow users to increase their privacy on the platform. Users will soon have the opportunity to hide their profile photos and usernames. You can view the screenshot of the new feature below.

Google Messages users will now be able to send their profile photos to everyone, only to registered contacts, or only to people they message. They can also optionally choose not to let anyone see their profile photos.

WhatsApp is testing the new Meta AI feature!

According to the newly released beta version of WhatsApp, Meta AI in the application will remember past chats.

The username will also have the same options as the profile photos. Thanks to these innovations, Google’s Messages application will become much more complete and will be closer to the social network.

On the other hand, some developers claim that it will not be long before the company launches the option to search users by name.
